This page is for our classes to write a story together. It's a pass-it-on story! We will each take it in turns to add a few sentences and then the other class can add a few sentences... Who knows where our story will go!
The moose said in a booming voice, "you're not in Australia, you're in CANADA! The koala replied, "it's v-v-very cold right now!" "There is a warm spot 2km down the road," stated the moose, "look for a squirrel near a tree. She will tell you where to go."
So, the Koala climbed the nearest tree (because it likes trees) and made his way from tree to tree to tree until finally he found the squirrel! "Hello Squirrel! The Moose sent me here to find a warm place"
"You see that big vacuum cleaner over there? It's magic and it's stuck to the side of my tree." said the squirrel. "Let's both go in it to get warm, I was feeling a bit cold too."
So, the squirrel and the koala climbed down to the vacuum cleaner. They were just about to climb in, when they heard "SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
"AAAAAAAAAAAhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!" screamed the squirrel and the koala.
The koala and the squirrel poked their heads out so they could see. They were zooming over the snow! It was SO fun! They went by skiiers, snowboarders, and kids sliding down hills! They got faster and faster, until everything was a blur! They both screamed, “AAAAAHHHHHHH!” A minute later, the vacuum cleaner slowed down. The koala and the squirrel could see beaches and green trees going by. Could this be possible? Had they landed in Australia?
They finally came to a stop. They landed on a tree. They looked around and saw a wombat, a dingo, a kangaroo, an echidna, a koala and a SNAKE slithering across the ground. The squirrel jumped into the koala's lap. "I'm scared Koala. What are these weird looking animals? What should we do?"
The Koala (whose name was Kurt) said to the squirrel "Don't worry, I know these animals, they're my friends! We're in AUSTRALIA!! I don't know how, but here we are"
The squirrel was still a bit frightened, so he jumped from Kurt's lap onto the vacuum cleaner and started furiously pushing buttons.... "ch ch ch ch ewwwwwwwwwwwww ew ew PHSHHHH BOOM"
"Oooops!" said the squirrel "I think I broke it!"
Kurt looked around and noticed they happened to be next to a store that sold vacuum cleaners! (What luck!) He ran through an open door with the squirrel following close behind. “Let’s get a new one,” Kurt yelled. They jumped on the nearest one and pressed the button. Wwwwhoooooossssshhhhhhh! They flew out of the store and up into the air. The koala and the squirrel flew up over the Melbourne Zoo and Luna Park. Then they went even higher and faster and saw the Sydney bridge, Uluru, and the Great Barrier Reef! “Wow,” said the squirrel, "Australia is amazing!" The two friends heard a loud noise coming from behind. They turned around and saw a huge plane gaining on them in the air.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" screamed Kurt and Steve (the squirrel) The vacuum cleaner started to fall towards the ocean. On the way down, the vacuum cleaner turned into a Submarine!!!
"This vacuum cleaner is a transformer, I can't believe my eyes" Steve said to Kurt. They splashed into the Great Barrier Reef. Steve and Kurt were safely inside the submarine.
They saw coral, fish, scuba divers, turtles, jelly fish, snorkellers, stingrays and a SHARK!!!!!!
Kurt saw his good friend Samantha the Shark swimming by.
Kurt said "Do you know me?" Samantha said "Yes, you are my friend Kurt."
Kurt said "Do you want to join us Samantha?" "Yes, I would love to Kurt"
"Follow the submarine and that way you'll know where we are going"
Kurt and Steve who were inside the submarine started heading towards an island. Samantha followed behind them.
Kurt and Steve swam up onto the island. The submarine magically changed back into a vacuum cleaner. It was beautiful! Steve heard bird calls he had never heard before coming from all around. “Where are we?” Steve asked. Kurt wasn’t sure, so he suggested that they climb up to the tallest point. The two friends and their vacuum started climbing up what they thought was a hill when they heard rumbling coming from under the ground. They had just reached the top and stood up on the vacuum cleaner when...KABOOM!!! Lava erupted from the top of the hill! It was really a VOLCANO! Steve and Kurt held on tightly to the vacuum, which was now flying through the air once more.
Steve looked at Kurt. Kurt looked at Steve. "I think it's time to split up, eh" Steve said. "I'm gonna miss ya mate" Kurt the koala said to Steve. "OK, here we go..." Steve pushed the button on the vacuum cleaner. The vacuum cleaner split in two pieces. Steve was on one piece. Kurt was on the other piece. "BYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" They yelled at each other as they went flying in opposite directions. Kurt was flying to Australia and Steve was flying to Canada. HOME. Steve started to see Moose, Bears and Beavers, and he knew he was home. He started to fall down towards the ground. One of the moose saw him coming and grabbed a trampoline, just in time. Steve the squirrel landed right on the trampoline, bounce, bounce, bounce. He came to a stop.
Kurt wasn't far from home. He spotted his friend Mila the Kangaroo and turned the vacuum cleaner towards her. He went flying throught the air and came to a stop... right in Mila the kangaroo's pouch!!!!!!!! "Looks like I got a new joey!" said Mila.
They both got home safely, both with half a vacuum cleaner and both with a new FRIEND!!!!!!!!
